Patron login
Nothing on GEBible is behind a login. Every page, every translation and every study tool is free to read with no account. Signing in with Patreon does exactly one thing: it turns the ads off.
What signing in actually does
- You go to Patreon and approve read access to your identity and your memberships. That is the whole permission we ask for.
- We read the highest active pledge on your account. Not your email, not your name, not your payment details.
- If that pledge is $3/month or more, this browser gets a signed cookie that says "verified patron". If it isn't, no cookie is set and nothing on the site changes.
- We store no account. There is no GEBible profile to create, no password, and no user record to delete — the cookie in your browser is the whole thing.
Signing in with Patreon works for anyone who has a Patreon account. Having an account is not the same as having a pledge: if yours has no active pledge of $3/month or more, you will come back to this page and nothing will have changed. That is expected, not an error.
One sign-in covers every app on gebible.app. Signing out signs you out of all of them.
The sign-in lasts 30 days in this browser and renews while you keep visiting, up to 90 days before it checks Patreon again.
