Genesis 36:20-21 and 1 Chronicles 1:38 list Dishon as one of Seir's sons, making Seir the father. A few verses later, Genesis 36:24-25 and 1 Chronicles 1:40-41 say Dishon is Anah's son — and since Anah is Seir's son in 36:20, that makes Dishon Seir's grandson, not son.
