Did Saul's family die with him?
1 Chronicles 10:6 says "Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together." 2 Samuel 2:1-7 then has Ishbosheth — Saul's son — made king of Israel after Saul's death.

How many children did Michal (David's first wife) have?
2 Samuel 6:23 states Michal had no child to the day of her death. 2 Samuel 21:8 refers to "the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul" who were handed over to the Gibeonites to be impaled.
