This verse is examined in more than one Scripture Analysis section. Each lens is shown on its own terms, in the section's own words; GEBible reaches no verdict of its own.
You shall keep his statutes and his commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which Yahweh your God gives you for all time.
Deuteronomy 4:40, Psalm 37:29, Psalm 78:69, Psalm 104:5, and Ecclesiastes 1:4 all assert that the earth abides forever — Psalm 104:5 specifically says it 'should not be removed for ever.' Psalm 102:25-26, Isaiah 65:17, the Synoptic apocalyptic discourses (Matthew 24:35 and parallels), Hebrews 1:10-11, 2 Peter 3:10-13, and Revelation 21:1 say the earth will perish, melt, pass away, or be replaced by a new earth.
