Questions where the Bible appears to say two different things, with the passages on each side set together.
Exodus 15:3 calls YHWH "a man of war" and Psalms 18:34 and 144:1 describe YHWH as the one who teaches hands to war and fingers to fight. The New Testament, by contrast, repeatedly titles God "the God of peace" (Rom 15:33, 16:20, 2 Cor 13:11, 1 Thess 5:23, Heb 13:20) and declares God is "not the author of confusion but of peace" (1 Cor 14:33).
