Who was the father of Salah?
Genesis 10:24 and 11:12 both have Arphaxad directly fathering Salah. Luke 3:35-36 inserts a generation — 'Salah, which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad' — making Cainan an intermediate ancestor.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
