Who was Timnah?
Genesis 36:12 identifies Timna as a woman, specifically the concubine of Eliphaz son of Esau, who bore Amalek to him. 1 Chronicles 1:36 lists 'Timna' as one of the sons of Eliphaz alongside Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Kenaz, and Amalek.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.

Who was Dishon's father?
Genesis 36:20-21 and 1 Chronicles 1:38 list Dishon as one of Seir's sons, making Seir the father. A few verses later, Genesis 36:24-25 and 1 Chronicles 1:40-41 say Dishon is Anah's son — and since Anah is Seir's son in 36:20, that makes Dishon Seir's grandson, not son.
Critical scholarship: Leans toward a genuine contradiction.
