Genesis 1:31 has God pronouncing everything he made 'very good' on day six. Five chapters later, in Genesis 6:6-7, God repents that he ever made humanity and resolves to destroy it all.

God does repent?
Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, Malachi 3:6, and James 1:17 stack hard on the idea that God does not and cannot repent or change. Genesis 6:6, Joel 2:14, and Jonah 3:10 show God actively repenting — changing his mind about punishment, grieving the creation of humanity.
