Will God flood the earth again?
Genesis 9:11-15 gives an unqualified covenantal 'no' — God swears never again to flood the earth, with the rainbow as the binding sign. Nahum 1:8, however, describes God using 'an overrunning flood' to make an utter end of his enemies' place.
