Is every animal afraid of man?
Genesis 9:2, embedded in the post-flood Noachic covenant, has Yahweh place the fear and dread (morakem ve-hittekem) of human beings upon every beast of the earth, every bird of the sky, every creeping thing, and every fish of the sea — they are delivered into human hands. Proverbs 30:30 says the lion is strongest among beasts and turns away from no one.
