World English Bible
Questions where the Bible appears to say two different things, with the passages on each side set together.
Numbers 1:48-49 records YHWH explicitly telling Moses NOT to number the tribe of Levi among the children of Israel, and Numbers 2:33 confirms the Levites were not numbered as commanded. But Numbers 3:14-15 has YHWH then telling Moses to number the Levites by their fathers' houses, every male a month old and upward.
