The Bible draws the borders of the Promised Land at least three different ways. Genesis 15:18 and Exodus 23:31 stretch from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates; Numbers 34 carves out a much smaller box basically the size of Canaan; and Ezekiel 47 draws a third map with Damascus on the northern edge and the Dead Sea region to the south.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
