(10) The third to Zaccur.—Literally, The third, Zaccur and his sons and his brethren—twelve. The same mode of expression is used down to 1Ch_25:18, except in 1Ch_25:11, which reads, “The fourth for the Izrite, his sons and his brethren—twelve.” The Izrite (not “Izri”) is a Gentilic name, and seems to denote a family rather than a person.
