(31) Ahio.—The recurrence of this name here lends some support to the Authorised Version in 1Ch_8:14.
Zacher.—Heb., Zecher (comp. Shamer-Shemer), the Zechariah of 1Ch_9:37, which is in fact the full form of the name. Such abbreviations are common. (See 1Ch_5:26, Note.) After Zecher, the phrase and Mikloth has dropped out of the text, because 1Ch_8:32 begins with the same words. (See 1Ch_9:33.)
