1Ki 8:15 And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled [it], saying,

Ver. 15. And hath with his hand {a} fulfilled.] He hath powerfully performed his promise to David. Solomon is thankful as well for the promise to his father as the performance to himself. And well he might, for the promises are precious things, {2Pe 1:4} the unsearchable riches of Christ. {Eph 3:8} The patriarchs "saw the promises afar off, and embraced {b} them." {Heb 11:13}
