2Ki 10:36 And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria [was] twenty and eight years.

Ver. 36. Was twenty and eight years.] This was a longer time than any of his predecessors had reigned; his successors of his family reigned seventy-six years, which yet God calleth a little while, {Hos 1:4} and threateneth to break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel, {Hos 1:5} or, from {a} the valley of Jezreel; that is, for the slaughter of Ahab’s house there made by Jehu, as Junius readeth and senseth it.
