How should the Moabites be treated?
Deuteronomy 2:9 has Yahweh forbid Israel from picking a fight with Moab or seizing Moabite land, because Yahweh assigned Ar to the descendants of Lot. Judges 3:28-30 has Israel slaughter ten thousand Moabites and subdue Moab as a tributary, and Jeremiah 48:2 calls for the destruction of Moab as a nation.
