Deuteronomy 23:1 explicitly bars anyone with crushed testicles or a severed penis from the assembly of YHWH. Leviticus 21:17-21 bars Aaronide priests with physical blemishes from offering sacrifice.

Does God prefer castrated men?
Deuteronomy 23:1 excludes anyone with crushed testicles or a severed penis from the assembly of Yahweh. Matthew 19:12 has Jesus speak approvingly of 'eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake,' adding 'he that is able to receive it, let him receive it.'
Critical scholarship: Genuinely disputed among scholars.
