  • Is dancing a sin?

    Exodus 32:19-28 has Moses kill 3,000 Israelites after catching them dancing around the golden calf, treating the dancing as part of the capital offense. Exodus 15:20-21, just seventeen chapters earlier, has Miriam and the women dancing with timbrels to celebrate YHWH's defeat of Pharaoh's army — treated as praise, not sin.
