Is it okay to marry your wife's sister, while your wife is still alive?
Genesis 29:24-28 has Jacob married to Leah and Rachel simultaneously, and the narrative treats it as legitimate — these two sister-wives become the mothers of the twelve tribes. Leviticus 18:18 explicitly forbids marrying "a wife to her sister" during her lifetime.
