Where did Abraham depart to?
Genesis 12:5 reports that Abram took his household from Haran and "they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came" — Abram knew his destination. Hebrews 11:8 reframes the same event as faith-departure: "he went out, not knowing whither he went."
