  • Did Zedekiah's eyes see the king of Babylon?

    Jeremiah 34:3 prophesies that Zedekiah's eyes will behold the eyes of the king of Babylon. 2 Kings 25:7 (and the parallel Jeremiah 39:7) reports that the Babylonians put out Zedekiah's eyes before transporting him to Babylon — so he never sees the king of Babylon while in Babylon.
