Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

Questions where the Bible appears to say two different things, with the passages on each side set together.
Jesus in Matthew 7:1 and Luke 6:37 commands his followers not to judge, and Paul echoes that in Romans 2:1 and 14:10 along with James 4:12. But Leviticus 19:15 commands righteous judgment of one's neighbor, John 7:24 has Jesus telling people to "judge righteous judgment," and Paul in 1 Corinthians 5-6 demands the Corinthians judge an immoral brother and even angels.
