Is improvidence okay?
Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount and parallel Lukan material tells his followers to take no thought for tomorrow, to give to everyone who asks, to lend without expecting return, and to consider the lilies of the field who neither toil nor spin. 1 Timothy 5:8 condemns anyone who fails to provide for his own household as "worse than an infidel," and Proverbs 13:22 praises the good man who leaves an inheritance to his children's children.
