Will the Messiah be a descendant of David?
Isaiah 11:1 and Jeremiah 23:5-6 promise a Davidic messiah — a Branch from David's line who will reign as king. In Mark 12:35-37, Jesus quotes Psalm 110 and argues that the Messiah cannot be David's son because David himself calls him 'Lord.'
Critical scholarship: Leans toward a genuine contradiction.

When was the Holy Ghost given?
John 7:39 says outright that 'the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.' John 20:22 has Jesus breathe the Spirit onto the disciples post-resurrection.
