When (on what day) was Jesus crucified?
John 18:28 has the chief priests refusing to enter Pilate's praetorium 'lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover' — meaning the Passover meal has not yet happened. John 19:14 confirms it: the crucifixion occurs on 'the preparation of the passover.'
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
