Questions where the Bible appears to say two different things, with the passages on each side set together.
Luke 4:13-30 places the Nazareth rejection at the very *beginning* of Jesus' Galilean ministry, immediately after the temptation, as the inaugural event setting the trajectory of his mission. Matthew 13:53-58 and Mark 6:1-5 place the same Nazareth rejection much later, after the Sermon on the Mount / parable discourse, well into the public ministry.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
Chronology
The proposed answers and sources for each reading are on the question page.
Matt 20:23 has Jesus admit that assigning the right- and left-hand seats in his kingdom 'is not mine to give' — that prerogative belongs to the Father. Mark 6:5 reports that in his hometown 'he could there do no mighty work' because of the people's unbelief.
Critical scholarship: Genuinely disputed among scholars.
