Should we follow our own hearts?
Ecclesiastes 11:9 tells the young to walk in the ways of their heart and the sight of their eyes. But Numbers 15:39 commands Israel not to seek after their own heart and eyes, and Proverbs 28:26 calls anyone who trusts his own heart a fool.
