Ver. 29. She arose quickly] Love is winged, and a ready heart makes riddance of God’s work. His people are volunteers, Psa 110:3. Where the carcase is, there will these eagles be; they scour to his presence, as the doves to the dove cots; they fly as the clouds, &c., Isa 60:8.

But the present sorrow she was in for her dead brother, together with the hopes she conceived of having him restored to life by Christ’s coming, added wings to her motion; therefore the evangelist saith,
she arose quickly, and came to him.
