What did Jesus do after his baptism?
Mark 1:12-13 says the Spirit immediately drove Jesus into the wilderness for forty days of temptation right after his baptism. John 1:35-2:1 has Jesus on day two calling disciples and on day three attending a wedding at Cana — no wilderness, no forty-day fast, no satanic temptation.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
