Has anyone ever ascended into heaven?
John 3:13 has Jesus say flatly that no human has ascended into heaven except the Son of Man. Genesis 5:24 and Hebrews 11:5 say Enoch was taken by God — and 2 Kings 2:11 has Elijah taken up in a whirlwind.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
