World English Bible
Questions where the Bible appears to say two different things, with the passages on each side set together.
Job 15:14, Isaiah 64:6, and Romans 3:10 deny anyone is righteous — all our righteousness is as filthy rags, there is none righteous, no, not one. Hebrews 11:4, 2 Peter 2:5-8, Ezekiel 14:14, Luke 1:6, and Matthew 23:35 name specific righteous people — Abel, Noah, Lot, Daniel, Job, Elisabeth, Zacharias.
Critical scholarship: Leans toward reconciliation.
Theology

Psalm 37:25, Psalm 112:1-3, Proverbs 13:22, and Proverbs 15:6 all treat wealth as a marker of divine favor — the righteous never beg, their houses fill with treasure, and the sinner's wealth ends up with the just. Matthew 19:23-24, Luke 6:24, and James 5:1 reverse the polarity completely: rich men can barely enter the kingdom of heaven, the rich have already received their consolation, and they should weep and howl for the miseries coming on them.
Critical scholarship: Widely regarded as a genuine contradiction.
