What current science says

The human body does emit measurable energy: infrared radiation (heat), tiny electrical signals from the heart and brain, and a weak biomagnetic field about a billion times weaker than Earth's magnetic field. None of these have any therapeutic effect on other people. The electromagnetic field from your body is so weak it requires a SQUID magnetometer in a shielded room just to detect it. 'Healing energy' has been tested in controlled studies — practitioners couldn't even detect the presence of a human hand near theirs when blinded, let alone cure diseases. Physics accounts for every force your body produces. Healing radiation isn't one of them.

What the text says

This comes from Luke 6:19. The text says 'there went virtue out of him, and healed them all' — describing a literal healing force radiating outward from one person's body into anyone who touches them.
