What current science says

The sun is a ball of hydrogen plasma 150 million km away, fusing atoms and completely indifferent to human affairs. The moon is a rocky satellite reflecting sunlight. Stars are other suns, many already dead by the time their light reaches us — some 'stars' you see are light from objects that exploded thousands of years ago. None of these objects have a communication function. Solar eclipses, blood moons, and meteor showers are all predictable, well-understood astronomical events caused by orbital mechanics, not moral semaphore. NASA can predict eclipses centuries in advance because they follow physics, not prophecy.

What the text says

This comes from Luke 21:25. The text says 'there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars' — treating celestial bodies as a divine messaging system designed to communicate warnings to humans on Earth.
